I'm lucky enough to have a fabulous organization to volunteer with - San Francisco City Guides. What more could you ask for - an army of volunteers who lead no fewer than THIRTY walking tours per week in San Francisco. For free.
I'm also lucky because some of our special events are held in a most special home - Richard Reutlinger's fabulously restored Victorian near Alamo Square. The exterior looks like this:

This home was gutted and turned into a church in the 60's, and Richard purchased it from them in the late 60's and has slowly, painstakingly restored it back to Victorian glory. This is an authentic Henry Geilfuss, and it's so fabulous to have one of the San Francisco Victorians of Geilfuss shown so well in the 21st century.
